Fostering
Foster With Us!
All you need is a safe space, some spare time and lots of love to give.
We cover all expenses of the cats under our care. This means we supply everything you need to foster for us from food and treats to cat litter and their veterinary care.
What Is Fostering?
Fostering is opening your heart and home to help save the lives of cats and kittens in need.
You will care for your foster cats daily needs until they are ready for adoption.
All foster cat costs are covered by C.A.T.W.
-
Safe Space
A safe space where your foster cat can be away from other animals and general household business. This is commonly a spare room/unused room in homes with existing pets.
-
Time and Patience
Time and patience are equally as important as a safe space for your foster cat, some cats need a little more persuading to trust humans than others, especially cats who haven't had the best experiences with humans. Trust can be built in many ways and we will of course be happy to give you all our best tips.
What Do I Need To Become A Foster?
-
Provide Safe Environment
A safe space where your foster cat can be away from other animals and general household business. Ensuring the cat remains inside your property at all times and cannot escape. Ensuring they are kept away from common dangers such as cleaning chemicals and blind cords.
-
Reporting concerns
You will be the daily care provider of your foster cat and any concerns regarding health, or behaviour must be reported to a member of the management team immediately.
-
Providing care
You will provide all day to day care for your foster cat ensuring their needs are met such as feeding them, making sure they have fresh water at all times and a clean litterbox. This includes spending time with them, giving them a fuss and playing with them.
-
Hosting your foster cats "Meet and Greet"
Meet and greets are where potential adopters get to meet their potential new family member. You will help to arrange an appropriate time and date for the potential adopter to come to your home and meet your foster cat. There you will talk to the potential adopter about your foster cat, their likes and dislikes, get a general feel for them and report back to C.A.T.W's management team.

WHAT OUR FOSTERERS SAY

LISA

With full support from a brilliant team.

MARY
We love fostering.
Knowing that you're bringing hope, love and care to cats and kittens, with full support from C.A.T.W... i'ts so rewarding.

VICTORIA
Fostering has allowed me to offer a loving and quiet place for cats to recover from difficult circumstances, after being born on the streets, or to older cats who's owners cannot look after them any longer.
It's always a joy to see them settle in so well with their adoptive pawrents, as they are well matched based on the ctas personalities and needs.
