Discover Our Story
It all started when local people connected online while helping to look for a neighbour's lost dog.
Not long after, a cat and her kittens turned up at Hill Valley in urgent need of help. With no one else stepping in, they decided to act - getting the mother cat and kittens neutered, cared for, and eventually rehomed.
The rescue opened their eyes to just how serious the problem of stray and feral cats was in the area - far bigger than they had imagined. And when they looked for support, they realised how little help was actually available.
So after becoming friends they put their heads together, rallied some local support, and the rescue grew from there.
Here at Cat Assist Team Whitchurch, we put cats first. Always.
Mission
Our Commitment to Cats
Our mission at Cat Assist Team Whitchurch is to
Rescue, Rehabilitate and Rehome stray and abandoned cats and kittens in Whitchurch Shropshire and surrounding areas.
As a no kill rescue, we whole heartedly believe that all cats deserve a chance at a good quality of life.
This means we strive to ensure all cats and kittens that come in to the rescue receive the best quality of care and compassion throughout their stay with us.
Veterinary care is important to us at C.A.T.W, we will always explore all options presented by a trusted licensed professional no matter the cost of testing, medication, procedures and rehabilitation.
As a non profit we continuously fundraise to make this all possible for the cats under our care, whilst advocating for responsible cat ownership and providing helpful services to the local community.
